Scaffolding a Project

The fastest way to a working project is the scaffolder:

npm create chainrender@latest my-app

You'll be asked what you're building:

  • Single component (T1) — a minimal HTML page that renders a deployed component by its hash from one eth_call. Best for embedding a component in an existing site.
  • Mini-app (T2) — a React project that composes an app and shows its tree check, content hash and grade live.
  • Full app (T3) — a DeFi app skeleton in the flagship's shape: two views with slots you bind to your chain's DeFi resolver. Best starting point for a real dApp frontend.
  • Farcaster Mini App — the render page plus a Mini App manifest stub.

For CI or an AI agent, skip the prompts: npm create chainrender@latest my-app -- --template miniapp-react.

Then:

cd my-app
npm install
npm run dev # every template, HTML ones included (Vite serves the page so the SDK import resolves)

Every scaffold starts at grade A, and the React templates show the live grade() and checkNode() result as you build. To render a deployed component, set the chain's RenderRouter address and your app hash (the HTML page asks for them; React reads them from .env — copy .env.example). The scaffolder is manifest-driven: new templates are added as manifest entries, never as forked code.
